Bursa at the end of the the silk road is nondescript except if you go shopping for silk. It is located to the south of Istanbul across the Marmara sea. A 90 minute super fast ferry ride gets you there. The town itself livens up with a vegetable market. I like vegetables but....and then the oral market promised much and returned little. The gods are telling me to work.
